Emergency Response Plan

An Emergency Response plan covers how to respond in an event of an accident.

Emergency response plans are specific to the area of operations and its regulatory system. Many countries have specific legal requirements relating to the reporting crashes and accidents. Operators should consult with the CAA about these protocols and ensure that they are considered in their written emergency response plan.

The emergency response plan should note the following:

  • If PLACE Aerial crashes it will likely break up/self-destruct.
  • As there is a possibility that the LiPo batteries will ignite and cause a fire when the UAV crashes so will immediately proceed to the location where the UAV came down with a fire extinguisher.
  • Once at the crash site the area will be secured to minimize harm to people and animals.
  • Notify the fire services immediately and evacuate people from the immediate vicinity of the crash site.
